We're giving two lucky females FREE spots on Team Axis Gear Adventure Girls captained by AR superstar Trish Westman (Salomon Bobkittens) at the Frontier Adventure Challenge May 1 at Deerhurst Resort.

In addition to the spot on the team with Trish, each winner will receive a package of Axis Gear Adventure Girls performance clothing to enhance the race experience.

We're looking for two women with little or no experience in adventure racing. Maybe you've been intimidated by the boys, you've wanted to learn from the best, or you just found out about the sport. Whatever your reason, we want to hear what attracts you to adventure racing - the more entertaining and compelling your story, the better your chances!

ABOUT TRISH WESTMAN
An endurance athlete from the day she said goodbye to diapers, Trish Westman cut her teeth racing nationally on the cross-country skiing and mountain biking circuits. She began adventure racing in 1999 and quickly proved herself as one of Canada's best while racing with Teams Supplierpipeline, Holofiber, and Salomon Bobkittens. Trish has seen victory of every flavour during her AR career, on just about every continent. She has been at the top of the podium in AR World Series Events, placed top ten at Primal Quest and Eco-Challenge races, been medi-vac'd, and been happy just to finish a race in one piece.

She is well known for her incredible tolerance for pain, penchant for picking up tropical rashes and insect bites, ability to fall asleep while cycling and remain asleep after crashing, and her enduring sense of fun. Fueled by sugar, driven by a passion for the wild ride, Trish brings effervescence to a long, night of jungle trekking that is contagious... but in a good way. She returned to racing with vigor last year after having had a wee babe, Kai Westman Foster in 2008.
