Richard Ehrlich

Team Canoe Leader and eBay Specialist

Richard is in charge of towing, taking extra weight in his pack, and running with a canoe on his head. He's the only one in Canada crazy enough to race on a 'bent (recumbent) mountain bike. Yes, he can do single track!

Background includes 24-hour MTB relays, adventure runs, summer & winter sprint races, Raid The North races, 3-day Eco Endurance Aventure, Canadian Ski Marathon (Coureur des Bois Gold), and about 30 years of wilderness tripping by ski, boat and boot, most of it with his wife, Barb.
Paul Hingorani
Bolton, Ontario
Age: 41
Management Consultant
Fearless Team Bike Leader and Back-up Navigator

Known for his impressive, kamikaze biking style and bizarre stories of injuries and bike breakdowns, Paul is especially valuable when we want someone to bike through the deeper mud holes before we do.

Background includes biking, canoeing, backpacking, kayaking and running. His speed can be attributed to the fact that he shares his home with 5 women ranging from age 2 to 34, all of whom move very, very quickly.

Team Profile
When we first started using the name in 2001, \"Tree Huggers\" described our team\'s single track biking technique. Our biking has improved over the years, but we\'re still very fond of trees.

The Tree Huggers are a group of friends, including a married couple - weekend warriors who share a sense of humour and an amazing natural talent for purchasing outdoor gear. When asked about our athletic prowess, we tend to change the subject. You\'ll recognize us on the trail when you see Richard\'s recumbent mountain bike - one of the few in existence in the world.

We finished our first adventure race six years ago and have been hooked ever since. More than 50 races later, we\'re still excited to be here.
