An accomplished triathlete and duathlete (part of the Canadian Duathlon Team in 1999), Chad started adventure racing while living and working in South Africa as a geologist. From 1998 to 2001 he led his team to several victories while continuing his solo racing in kayaks and on foot. With a knack for hot, dry weather Chad is a two-time Desert Challenge winner (250km solo running race in Namibia) and placed 16th (of 670) in the 2003 Marathon des Sables in Morocco. Now back in Canada, Chad continues his rugged lifestyle exploring for diamonds in Canada?s north. With Holofiber:
