After a storied career in shadow boxing, I joined NERO Adventure Racing, a team comprised mainly of members of the former Canadian Amateur Stunt Snowshoe Association (CASSA). For many moons now, under NERO's solemn tutelage, this team has been nurturing The Pink Guard, an elite squadron that blend perfectly into the day or the night, whatever it may be, identifiable only by their rose-hued chapeaus. It is this squadron, The Pink Guard of NERO, that will be racing Fenelon Falls. In honor of our humble beginnings, we hope to bring the ethic so valued in stunt snowshoeing to adventure racing.
In other news, I got my first bike the other day -- a '57 Boss Hoss Chopper. It packs a thunderous V8 swiped from an old Chevy I had lyin? round the yard back in Tennessee. I'll be piloting this pussycat in the race, complete with its 5.7 litre, 345bhp HEMI. The whole outfit weighs a slimline 978lbs dry. Just like yo mamma. |
