Susan Henry SW Calgary, Alberta Age: 28 Firefighter
TEAM CAPTAIN |
Member of the Calgary Fire Department. First of hopefully many adventure races. Have competed in many small running races and completed Victoria and Calgary marathons. Love pretty much all outdoor activities. |
Carol Henke Calgary, Alberta Age: 34 Firefigther |
Member of the Calgary fire department. I love being active and trying new things (hence this race). And please, do not let the short hair fool you, because I am part boy, but ALL girl. |
Scott Brooks Calgary, Alberta Age: 33 Surveyor |
Just read my Bio again, time for a change. I have a pulse, proven by the fact my heart claws it's way out of my chest on XC-MTB climbs (see Kimberley). I don't complain too much, I'm not too slow, I try real hard, and flirt with my teammates (which somehow makes them faster??). I am a surveyor, but this doesn't make me a top navigator. I lose my car in empty parking lots, and at times can't find my out of a shower. Oh, and I type with 2 fingers. Who cares what I've done... It's what I want to do. |
Dennis Capnerhurst 108 mile ranch, British Columbia Age: 22 Wildland firefighter |
First time adventure racer - looking forward to pushing myself to new boundaries.
Have competed in many small races and triathalons but this will be one of my greatest accomplishments. Have enjoyed the past few months of training and look forward to continuing on with the sport. |

| Team Profile |
| sudden sCrape: Two firefighters the women of the team, a strongman that can do anything with a rake, and a surveyor who has found a great home with Crape Geomatics. This motley crew is supported by a gun packing amoured car driving security guard and his trusty side kick the beer swilling marine biologist who refuses to eat anything that lives in water. All adventure racing virigins but then there will always be Hope. |
